INGREDIENTS:

  • 1,5 pack of Wafers for cake;
  • 55 g of Butter;
  • 1 tea spoon of lemon juice;
  • Berries for decoration;
  • 300 g of feta cheese.

Dulce de leche (Columbian condensed milk)

  • 680 gr of sugar;
  • 3 liters of milk (3.2%);
  • ¼ tea spoon of salt;
  • ½ tea spoon of baking powder;
  • ½ stick of cinnamon.

COOKING:

  1. For the start prepare dulce de leche.

  2. Combine all ingredients in a cooker and boil the mixture. Then lower the heat and boil the mass for about three hours.Stir the mixture regularly to help it reduce and prevent it from burning
    As the milk reduces, it will start changing color from white to caramel. This is a good sign and means that your dulce de leche is nearing completion. When you will see that mass has ready consistence remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture cool

  3. Pour the mixture into an airtight jar or glass pot and wrap it with foil.

  4. Dulce de leche can last about 1 weeks in fridge if stored properly.

  5. For cake cooking:Mix dulce de leche and butter with mixer. Add lemon juice and keep going to blend for about 3 minutes.

  6. After that spread wafer sheets with Dulce de leche. On every 3d layer of wafer sheets put 100 gr of feta cheese and cover with Dulce de leche.

  7. At the end put finished cake on the plate and press by something heavy. Let the cake rest for 2–3 hours.

  8. Cover the cake with Dulce de leche from all sides and decorate with berries.
    Enjoy!
